Website Security benefits
WAF (Web Application Firewall) — safety on your site.
Website security includes a premium SSL certificate as well as the NAV web application protection program — (WAF).
The WAF is designed to intercept and examine incoming data to neutralize malicious code from security threats, such as SQL injections and DDoS attacks, preventing any damage to your site.
Anti-exploit malware — prevention and resolution.
Proactive and preventive site security. The Website Security firewall helps block attacks on the site, while the malware scanner regularly searches for malicious content and alerts when files with potential security issues are found.
Increased speed — encrypted data and better ranking position.
Google strongly favors encrypted, SSL-protected sites, ranking them higher than those without SSL, helping the site become more visible to new potential customers.
Secure backup — one-click restore.
Data loss is forgotten! Now you have access to daily, automatic backups** of the website. Even if a file or database is deleted, you have access to one-click restoration and the option to restore to a recent version of the site.

Your Question, Our Answer
What do I need to do?
Everything happens without your intervention — the NAV team handles it all. Website Security allows you to configure the scanning frequency for site security and continuously monitors it for malware and other online security threats.
If I have an SSL certificate, do I still need NAV WS?
Yes — while an SSL certificate encrypts data transmitted to and from the website, it does not protect the site from other vulnerabilities, such as malware, SQL injections or DDoS attacks. Using both SSL and WS gives you the assurance that all aspects of site security are protected.
How does a WAF protect my site?
WAF (Web Application Firewall) is a cloud-based firewall service that monitors and protects site traffic in real time against threats such as SQL injection attacks (malicious data that essentially exploits the site) and DDoS attacks (which block the site by overwhelming it with a wave of automated traffic). Configuring the WAF represents a website's first line of defense between security scans.
How often is the website scanned?
In general, malware scanning is performed continuously; however, depending on the chosen plan, you can select a monitoring and security scan frequency of 30 minutes, 12 hours or once a day. The NAV technical representative will decide the best frequency for scanning the website.
